CorDx Bolsters Man Fut Tong Nursing Home Safety with Donation of Flu A/B & COVID-19 ART Kits

Singapore – In a bid to strengthen outbreak preparedness, CorDx, Inc. has donated 100 boxes of Flu A/B & COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (ART) kits to Man Fut Tong Nursing Home, a facility caring for over 200 elderly residents. The contribution, delivered on March 20, 2025, equips caregivers with critical tools to detect and contain respiratory infections swiftly.

Why These Kits Are Essential for Nursing Homes
Man Fut Tong Nursing Home, a voluntary welfare organization established in 1969, provides essential care to elderly residents. Like many long-term care facilities, houses high-risk seniors vulnerable to severe outcomes from influenza and COVID-19. Shared living spaces increase the risk of transmission, making early detection a lifeline. Having at home tests lets caregivers act immediately—isolating cases, protecting others, and reducing hospital transfers.

How CorDx’s 3-in-1 Test Kits Make a Difference
The donated kits allow staff to simultaneously test for COVID-19, influenza A, and influenza B with high accuracy in 10 minutes, eliminating the delays of lab send-outs. For nursing homes, these benefits include:

  • Outbreak prevention: Isolate infected residents before spread.
  • Resource optimization: Reduce unnecessary PPE use or ward lockdowns.
  • Faster care: Prompt antiviral treatment for positive patients.

"These tests are a first line of defence," said Jeff, Aiiso Yufeng Li, CorDx’s founder and CEO. "We are committed to putting diagnostics where they are needed most—especially in communities with limited healthcare access."
